Tyrannosaurs and their ancestors were terrifying enough before internationally-renowned Canadian palaeontologist Dr. Philip Currie unveiled his groundbreaking new theory. Dr. Currie seeks to dispel the image of tyrannosaurs as big, solitary brutes, suggesting they were more cunning than we ever imagined. Travel back to a time when giant carnivores like Albertosaurus roamed Canada’s West, coordinating their hunts in fierce, deadly packs. One of the inspirations behind Jurassic Park’s Alan Grant character, Dr. Currie is a professor at the University of Alberta and has held the Canada Research Chair in Dinosaur Paleobiology since 2005. Coordinating digs across the world, Dr. Currie has been at the forefront of dinosaur discovery throughout his career, naming 25 new dinosaur species and promoting new theories on dinosaur behaviour and the origin of birds.
